Watch Captiv8 launch on stage here.
This interview with Captiv8’s Sunil Verma, Taz Patel, Krishna Subramanian, Vishal Gurbuxani, Siddhi Saraiya, and Meghan O'Holleran was conducted by the Job Portraits team during preparations for the LAUNCH Festival.
Let’s start with your elevator pitch.
Captiv8 is a social CRM platform that allows brands and influencers to own, grow, and monetize their audiences.
Why this problem and why are you the right people to solve it?
Sunil: Vishal, Krishna and I launched our first company, Mobclix, in 2008 at TechCrunch 50. We were the first platform to help app developers monetize their applications. Fast forward to today, and we're finding the key indicators are the same, but for influencers instead of app developers.
As an influencer, you're producing a lot of content and managing a ton of engagement, but it's fragmented. There isn't a single platform to help influencers build their business on top of diverse social properties. That’s what we do... we turn influencers into entrepreneurs.
What are you most hoping to learn in the month after you publicly launch the product?
As organic social reach is increasingly limited, social influencers offer a more authentic voice, leading to more engaged audiences. We are excited to see how the Captiv8 platform will impact the entire marketing value chain. We are interested in further leveraging our data and analytics across influencers to predict virality.
Is there something in particular that keeps the momentum going?
Rapid iteration driven by customer adoption. The more excited our customers are to dive deeper into the platform, the more excited we are to keep burning the midnight oil and build amazing products that define the space.
